Description

HAT module MCC 172 system designed for Raspberry Pi minicomputers. Provides two channels for taking sound and vibration measurements from IEPE sensors such as accelerometers and microphones. Two 24-bit differential analog input channels simultaneously acquire data at up to 51.2 kS / s. Users can turn the excitation current IEPE on and off. Each channel has a dedicated A/D converter, and both ADCs share the same clock and are synchronized to start conversions at the same time for synchronous data. Multiple MCC 172 HAT modules may be synchronized to one sampling clock. The clock is programmable for a sampling rate of 51.2 kS/s to 200 S/s and the trigger input (TRIG terminal) is used to delay the input scan until a certain condition is met on the trigger input. Up to eight modules can be placed on one Raspberry Pi.

The HAT configuration parameters are stored in the built-in EEPROM which allows the Raspberry Pi to automatically configure the GPIO pins when the HAT is connected. The open source MCC DAQ HAT library available in C/C++ and Python allows users to build Raspberry Pi applications using Linux.
