The ThinkNode M7 gateway is designed for building stationary Meshtastic network nodes with LoRa communication in the EU868. The ESP32-S3 and LR1110 provide LoRa, 2.4 GHz WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. A 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port with IEEE 802.3af PoE enables wired communication and power delivery over a single cable, while the USB Type-C port provides a 5 V power supply. The pre-installed gateway functionality simplifies deployment in communication networks. Elecrow ThinkNode M7 Meshtastic
The Elecrow ThinkNode M7 is designed to operate as a stationary communication gateway in Meshtastic networks. The design combines an ESP32-S3 microcontroller with a dual-core 32-bit Xtensa LX7 processor running at up to 240 MHz and an LR1110 radio chip responsible for LoRa communication. Available EU868 band. The ESP32-S3 also provides 2.4 GHz WiFi and Bluetooth Low Energy / Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, allowing the gateway to communicate with local devices and the Meshtastic application. Memory includes 512 kB SRAM, 8 MB PSRAM, 4 MB Flash and 384 kB ROM. The manufacturer specifies a maximum LoRa communication range of 8–10 km, although the actual range depends on the antennas, terrain, buildings and radio propagation conditions.
The ThinkNode M7 hardware and software have been optimized for Meshtastic, while the pre-installed gateway functionality reduces the amount of configuration required during initial setup. Device parameters can be configured using the official Meshtastic application. The hardware also supports flashing MeshCore firmware.
LoRa communication is handled by the LR1110 radio chip connected to an external antenna via a female RP-SMA connector. A separate WLAN/BT antenna supports WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. Separate antenna paths allow LoRa communication and local wireless interfaces to be used in installations requiring access to both Meshtastic networks and IP infrastructure.

The 10/100 Mbps RJ45 port provides a wired Ethernet connection. The gateway also supports IEEE 802.3af PoE with an input voltage range from 37 V to 57 V DC, allowing network data and power to be delivered through a single Ethernet cable. PoE operation requires a compatible IEEE 802.3af power source or adapter.
Alternatively, the gateway can be powered through the USB Type-C port at 5 V / 1 A, which is also used for communication and debugging. Ethernet connectivity combined with PoE allows the gateway to be installed in a location providing suitable LoRa signal propagation without the need for a separate power cable.
The ThinkNode M7 Meshtastic enclosure measures 74 × 74 × 33 mm without antennas and is made of plastic. The gateway can be placed on a desk or mounted on a wall using the rear mounting base. Its compact construction simplifies installation in the selected location.
PWR, BT/LoRa and LINK LED indicators provide information about basic operating states and communication activity. The Reload button is used to restart the device, configure it and restore factory settings, while the hidden Boot button enables programming mode. The gateway operates at temperatures from -20°C to +70°C, at a relative humidity of 10% to 95% without condensation, and has a net weight of 80 g.

ThinkNode M7 can be used as part of communication infrastructure in smart buildings, facility management systems, agricultural and livestock installations, emergency communication systems and temporary networks deployed during events or field operations. The gateway can also extend indoor LoRa network coverage and provide a stationary access point for Meshtastic networks.
