About the book

The book "Microcontrollers in remote control systems" is a compendium devoted to modern remote control systems. The author included in the book information on components used in remote control devices, construction of transmission and reception tracks, protocols (RC5, RECS80, NEC, Sony SIRCS, Denon, Nokia NRC17, Motorola, Daewoo, ITT and many others) and methods of coding and decoding of transmitted data data, as well as factors that have an impact on reducing coverage and reducing transmission reliability. He illustrated theoretical issues with programs for microcontrollers, in which he implemented protocols used in remote control systems, as well as twelve exemplary projects (some made in several variants) made on the '51 family microcontrollers. An interesting addition to the information contained in the book is the description of the RC5 hardware decoder (in Verilog language) implemented in the CPLD system. Technical issues have been enriched with a historical feature, in which the author presented the development of remote control systems since the late 1940s.

The book is intended for electronics professionals dealing professionally and in a hobby with the construction and testing of remote control systems. It can be used during lectures and laboratory exercises by students of electronics faculties of technical universities.
