Nozzle for 3D printers compatible with the Nextruder system, 0.8 mm diameter, featuring a polycrystalline diamond (PCD) tip for exceptional wear resistance. Designed for 1.75 mm filaments, including fiber-, metal-, and ceramic-filled materials. Prusa Research
Prusa E3D DiamondBack 0.8 mm nozzle is a high-end 3D printing nozzle developed in collaboration with E3D and designed for the Nextruder system. It has been engineered for printing demanding materials containing abrasive additives such as carbon fiber, glass fiber, metal, or ceramics, which cause rapid wear of standard nozzles.
The nozzle tip is made of polycrystalline diamond (PCD), composed of thousands of microscopic diamond crystals bonded with a specialized matrix. This structure retains the extreme hardness of diamond while reducing brittleness, ensuring very high durability during long-term printing with abrasive materials.
The diamond tip also improves print precision. The extremely smooth surface and low friction coefficient allow more stable filament flow, which can result in better layer adhesion and smoother surface finish. The nozzle is a direct replacement for the standard Prusa Nextruder nozzle and does not require any modification to cooling or mounting.
Nozzle designed for 3D printers with the popular E3D(V6) hotend. The Teflon coating prevents the filament from sticking to the nozzle
