3D printer nozzle compatible with the Nextruder system with a 0.4 mm diameter, equipped with a polycrystalline diamond (PCD) tip providing exceptional wear resistance. Designed for printing 1.75 mm filaments, including fiber-, metal-, and ceramic-filled materials
The Prusa Nozzle E3D DiamondBack 0.4 mm is a high-performance 3D printer nozzle developed in cooperation with E3D and designed for the Nextruder system. It was created for printing demanding materials containing abrasive additives such as carbon fiber, glass fiber, metal, or ceramic, which quickly wear out standard nozzles.
The nozzle tip is made from polycrystalline diamond (PCD), composed of thousands of microscopic diamond crystals bonded together with a specialized binder. This structure preserves the extreme hardness of diamond while reducing the brittleness typical of single-crystal diamond, ensuring excellent durability during long-term printing with abrasive materials.
The diamond tip also improves printing precision. Thanks to the extremely smooth surface and low friction coefficient, filament flows more consistently, which can improve layer adhesion and produce smoother print surfaces. The nozzle is a direct replacement for the standard Prusa Nextruder nozzle and does not require any adjustments to the mounting or print cooling system.
Nozzle designed for 3D printers with a Volcano hotend. It is much longer than standard V6 nozzles, which makes it possible to achieve higher print speeds. The Teflon coating prevents the filament from sticking to the nozzle
