Description

A module dedicated to power management of Raspberry Pi minicomputers. It provides numerous functions related to power configuration, such as timed on/off switching and measurement of operating voltage and current consumption. The built-in MP28167-A buck-boost circuit guarantees fast response to transient load changes and the ability to quickly switch between different power sources. With the module, the minicomputer can be powered via a USB Type-C connector or via a JST PH2.0 connector with voltages from 3.3 to 4.2 V, including a lithium battery that can be charged using the built-in charger.

The module is controlled by an RP2040 microcontroller with two ARM Cortex-M0+ cores, 264 kB SRAM and 4 MB Flash memory. It communicates with the Raspberry Pi via a UART serial interface and GPIO pins and can be programmed by the user. All pins are brought out on 2.54mm connectors in a layout compatible with Raspberry Pi Pico boards. This allows the user to add new functionality in the form of HAT modules for the Raspberry Pi Pico, such as an LCD display to show operating parameters.
