An expansion for the BBC micro:bit that allows you to build a working model of a barrier using the included servo and barrier. The module features a built-in battery holder for 3xAAA batteries, a power switch, and a buzzer, making it easy to create realistic educational projects related to transportation and automation. The micro:bit is mounted using M3 screws or alligator clips, and the LED matrix remains fully visible, allowing for the display of messages and symbols. Kitronik 5646
Kitronik ACCESS:bit is a practical extension for the BBC micro:bit, designed to simulate the operation of a barrier gate. The board is equipped with an integrated 3xAAA battery holder, a power switch, and a buzzer, enabling the creation of realistic access control scenarios. This makes it ideal for educational projects related to transportation, signaling, and automation. The kit includes a servo motor and barrier arm, which, combined with the micro:bit, allow for barrier movement control. Once the micro:bit is mounted on the ACCESS:bit, the built-in LED matrix remains fully visible, making it possible to display warning signals, STOP/GO icons, or even use it as a light sensor for autonomous actions.
The ACCESS:bit can be connected to the micro:bit using the included M3 screws or crocodile clips, providing flexibility for assembly and testing. Additionally, the device is designed to aesthetically complement other accessories in the series, such as the STOP:bit and LAMP:bit, allowing for larger and more advanced projects. To simplify programming, Kitronik has prepared dedicated blocks for the MakeCode editor, which can easily be added as an extension. This makes it possible even for younger students to quickly create their own programs to control the barrier’s operation. ACCESS:bit is an excellent educational tool that develops logical thinking, programming skills, and introduces students to automation and intelligent control systems.

A module dedicated to projects related to traffic lights and pedestrian crossings. It is fully assembled, which eliminates the need for soldering. Thanks to the shape resembling a real traffic light and three LEDs powered directly from the micro:bit I/O pins, it allows easy programming and expansion of projects with additional traffic lights using radio communication, which allows for the study of traffic management in the city. Kitronik 5642
Kitronik 5643, known as LAMP:bit, is a module designed for the BBC micro:bit that replicates the function of a streetlight. It features a white LED and a phototransistor, allowing for the simulation of automatic lighting activation at dusk. This module is an excellent educational tool for learning the basics of programming and understanding how urban lighting systems operate.
