DIY soldering kit for building a programmable Pomodoro timer based on the RP2040 microcontroller. Features a 4-digit 7-segment display, WS2812B RGB LED, piezo buzzer, four control buttons and USB-C. Programmable in MicroPython. Soldered 333348
The device Pomodoro Timer Solder Kit by Soldered is a DIY soldering kit for building a programmable timer based on the Pomodoro technique. The circuit is built around the RP2040 microcontroller with two Arm Cortex-M0+ cores running at up to 133MHz and 264KB of SRAM. Time is displayed on a 4-digit 7-segment display, while the default configuration uses a 25-minute work period followed by a 5-minute break.
Work and break times can be adjusted in 5-minute increments. Four buttons provide start and pause, reset, and time increase and decrease functions. A WS2812B RGB LED indicates the current timer state, while the onboard buzzer provides audible notifications. One of four melodies can be selected using jumpers.

The timer is powered and programmed through USB-C. The firmware is based on MicroPython and can be modified by the user, including session duration, indication behavior and melodies. The board measures 70 × 70mm, and the manufacturer rates the assembly difficulty as Level 2. An assembly guide, project documentation and files for a 3D-printable enclosure are also available.
