Description
Base board dedicated to Portenta H7 and Portenta X8 sets. It transforms modules into single-board computers that enable artificial intelligence to be used in high-performance industrial, building automation and robotics applications. Thanks to dedicated high-density connectors, it can be paired with the Portenta X8 or H7, allowing for easy prototyping and implementation of industrial designs.
The board further extends Portenta's communication options with Fieldbus, LoRa, Cat-M1 and NB-IoT interfaces and protocols. The user has at his disposal Ethernet, USB-A, audio slots, microSD, mini-PCIe, FD-CAN and Serial RS232 / 422/485. Max Carrier can be powered from an external power source (6-36V) or a battery through the built-in 18650 lithium-ion cell connector with a 3.7V charger.
The Arduino Portenta Max Carrier is designed to help developers with prototyping by providing the main peripherals of the Portenta family of boards (H7 and X8). It allows easy debugging through the JTAG connector and inspection of the CAN line through the pins. At the same time, it is a suitable tool for testing Ethernet connectivity as well as for expanding connectivity options to CAT-M1, NB-IoT and LoRa.
The set allows integration with the Arduino IoT Cloud and in a simple and quick way to ensure safe communication in IoT devices.
