The book is intended for students or already educated electrotechnicians. The basic knowledge in the field of electrotechnics, mainly electrothermia and lighting technology, was discussed and moved, including problems related to electrochemical and chemical-electrical energy transformations and electrokinetic conversions. The least attention has been paid to macroscopic electromagnetic-mechanical and mechanical-electromagnetic transformations, which are usually discussed in separate publications in technical literature. The subject matter of subsequent chapters testifies to the greatness of the issues discussed in this publication. In the first introductory, the views on the structure of the universe and terrestrial energy conversions were characterized, electrotechnics were characterized as the field of science, the interactions and electric and magnetic fields of loads and charge systems in vacuum were described, as well as the structure of matter. The next chapters were devoted to material centers in stationary electric and magnetic fields, electric fields in energetically and material-complex systems, variable electromagnetic fields, optical radiation - including the fundamentals of lighting technology - and thermal processes in electrical devices. The last, the most extensive chapter contains the basics of electrothermia.
