Amateur instruments for measuring ionizing radiation gained popularity soon after the Chernobyl disaster, when the "radiophobia" present in the society prevailed today in the society. With the passage of time, this topic has been forgotten, and now the dosimeters constructions are basically no longer appearing so often on the pages of electronic magazines.
Recommendations: X-ray equipment services, treatment rooms, mine supervision services.
Despite some difficulties, SBM-20 lamps can be purchased at GSTUBE (www.gstube.com)
Basic parameters:
- supply voltage 3.5 ... 15V (4 R6 batteries)
- current consumption approx. 15 mA
- 2 × 8 characters LCD display
- the energy range of X and g radiation measurements
- measurement of dose equivalent power in the range from 0.01 mS / h to 999.9 mS / h
- measurement of the dose equivalent in the range from 0.00001 mSv to 9999 mSv
- the possibility of generating an alarm after exceeding the set dose rate
- registration of the occurrence of the maximum dose rate
- the ability to choose the measurement algorithm
The printed circuit board and documentation are included.
