Many amateur radio enthusiasts are familiar with the effect of improving the quality of radio signal reception after attenuation of the antenna signal by means of a silencer. This is a phenomenon related to intermodulation. To use them properly it is necessary to have an intermodulation distortion meter. The presented system consists of two identical generators with the same powers and a small difference in frequency, whose signals are summed up. The generators are characterized by high spectral purity of the signal, i.e. it does not contain any harmonics.

The device is especially recommended for amateur radio enthusiasts who want to improve their transceivers

• frequency difference 4kHz (quark in 3.579MHz and 3.575MHz generators)
