MICRO-SCREEN STROKE CONTROLLER - PLATE AND CONTROLLED LAYOUT
Producer: AVT
Drivers of stepper motors are very popular. Their use allows, for example, the construction of advanced tools, such as milling machines or numerically controlled drilling machines.
The presented motor controller enables the smooth regulation of the rotational speed and direction of rotation of bipolar (4-wire) and unipolar (5- or 6-wire) motors using the same potentiometer. The range of rotational speed changes has been divided into two subranges: 1 ... 10 and 7 ... 100 cycles per second. The microchip control is performed with 1/64 or 1/8 step resolution. The controller can be powered by 8 ... 25Vdc and the output current is up to 2A / channel (coil). Additionally, it has been equipped with a time function (time regulated smoothly in the range of 0.5 ... 70s).
The prototype of the system was created to control the trolley drive for the so-called Glidetrack camera and is perfectly suited for obtaining very low speeds of the stepper motor. However, it should be remembered that despite the high resolution of microstep control in some engines, the motion of the shaft may not be perfectly smooth and there may be slight oscillations.
The set includes a printed circuit board, programmed layout and documentation.

Inside are two sensors, one is a classic 3-axis accelerometer, which can tell you which direction is down towards the Earth or how fast the board is accelerating in 3D space. The other is a magnetometer that can sense where the strongest magnetic force is coming from, generally used to detect magnetic north. Adafruit 1247
