The Wright brothers got it right. When these talented bicycle mechanics set out to build the world\'s first motor-driven, heavier-than-air airplane, they needed wings that could provide enough lift, yet be light and strong. They went with a biplane design, seen in early hang gliders. Biplanes have two fixed wings, one on top of the other, connected with supporting struts; the bracing permits a lighter wing structure. WWI flyers took to the skies in biplanes, and while the Red Baron is known for his iconic crimson triplane, most of his decorated combat career was spent in biplanes. Advances in aviation technology and materials made the biplane obsolete by the late 1930\'s, however, biplanes remain a fixture and fan favorite at airshows to this day. UGears 70159

The Clockwork Universe theory favored by 17th C deists held that the Earth and the heavens, and all their motions, were like a giant clock, with God as the Clockmaker. Newton\'s three laws of motion and the principle of universal gravitation were thought to be sufficient to explain phenomena of any kind, using mechanical conceptions. At Ugears we love mechanical conceptions! And so with a nod to Isaac Newton, we present the Sky Watcher Tourbillon Table Clock, a fascinating combination of imaginative celestial observatory and functional table clock! UGears 70162

Let\'s talk cars. Because cars are cool, and the coolest of the cool might be the sports coupe: a sleek and stylish two-door car designed for high performance and driving enjoyment. Often built with a low, wide profile, sports coupes typically feature a powerful engine, sport-tuned suspension, aerodynamic design, and other performance-enhancing features that prioritize speed, agility, and handling. You don\'t buy a coupe for its fuel economy or trunk space, you buy it because a) you love to drive, b) you want to make a statement, and c) the cool factor. And nothing is cooler on a car, or makes a bigger statement than gull-wing doors! UGears 70205
