The SO-ARM101 is an optimized robotic arm designed for learning through imitation, ideal for projects based on the LeRobot and Hugging Face platforms. It is tailored for robotics enthusiasts and developers aiming to implement AI solutions in real-world environments. The kit includes servomotors, adapter boards, and cables, allowing for fast prototyping. This open-source, low-cost design makes it especially suitable for educational and research applications.
Compared to the previous version (SO-ARM100), wiring has been improved to eliminate disconnection issues and joint movement limitations. New servos with custom gear ratios offer smoother and more precise operation without the need for external gearboxes. Additionally, the main robotic arm can mirror the movements of a secondary arm in real time, which is particularly valuable in reinforcement learning scenarios. The system supports environments powered by Nvidia Orin NX computers. Full documentation and setup guides are provided by the manufacturer to facilitate a quick project start.
