The Thermal-90 Camera HAT (B) is a long-wave infrared thermal imaging camera module designed for direct connection to Raspberry Pi boards via the standard 40PIN GPIO header. The module adopts hybrid microbolometer and thermopile pixel technology, converting the infrared radiation distribution in the 8-14 μm wavelength range into a surface temperature map of the observed objects.
The 80 x 62 pixel array enables thermal image generation with a maximum frame rate of up to 25 frames per second. The shutterless design allows continuous operation and stable thermal video streaming. Each pixel is individually calibrated to ensure uniformity and improved temperature measurement accuracy.

The temperature measurement range is -40°C to 400°C, with an accuracy of ±1.5°C within an ambient temperature range of 10°C - 70°C. A NETD sensitivity of 125 mK enables detection of small temperature differences. The wide-angle version is equipped with a lens providing a field of view of 122°(D) × 90°(H) × 67°(V), allowing observation of a significantly larger area within a single frame compared to the 45° version.
The module is suitable for long-term non-contact temperature monitoring, security systems, industrial automation, motion and intrusion detection, thermal trend analysis, smart home systems, and care applications for infants and the elderly. Compact dimensions of 65.0 x 30.5 mm and low current consumption of 20 mA at 5 V allow integration into embedded systems and IoT projects.
