The module with the BME688 sensor is an integrated gas, pressure, temperature and humidity sensor placed in one MEMS housing. The system can be supplied with the voltage of 3.3 V and is equipped with an I2C communication interface. The BME688 has been specially developed for mobile applications and wearables where size and low power consumption are key requirements. The gas sensor on the BME688 can detect a wide range of air quality gases, including volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from paints (such as formaldehyde), varnishes, paint strippers, cleaners, furniture, office equipment, adhesives, adhesives and alcohol.

The kit does not include the Raspberry Pi. It must be purchased separately.The module has been designed for Raspberry Pi minicomputers in such a way that the sensor is located as far as possible from the elements emitting heat, which eliminates to a large extent disturbances in temperature measurement. It can work with both Raspberry Pi (all versions) and Raspberry Pi Pico or Arduino via the Grove connector.
