Description

The non-contact turbidity sensor detects water quality by measuring turbidity levels. Based on the principle of optics, it is able to detect the light transmittance and scattering coefficient of liquids in transparent cylindrical containers with a diameter of 40 to 50 mm. The measurement data is available as an analogue value, which is then converted into a digital value available to the user via the UART interface.

The sensor is equipped with two infrared probes, which should be installed opposite each other on the container. It can measure without contact with liquid, making it less susceptible to corrosion caused by water or chemicals. This ensures a long service life of up to 50,000 h. It will find application in water quality testing systems. Full documentation is available on the product page.
