Description

MicroMod Alorium Sno M2 Processor is the main module of the MicroMod series. It is equipped with the Intel MAX 10 FPGA chip, which has built-in 8-bit AVR instructions (ATmega328 compatible) and is programmed with the Arduino IDE. The module is equipped with an M.2 connector, thanks to which it can work with expansion boards from the MicroMod series. It has 32 digital pins, 6 analog pins and offers 32 KB of Flash memory and 2 KB of SRAM memory. On the product page, there is a guide with sample programs that will help you get started with the kit.

Alorium Technology provides a custom logic library called Xcelerator Blocks (XBs) that accelerates specific functions that are slow, problematic for an 8-bit microcontroller. The library includes servo control, implementation of floating point calculations, NeoPixel support and an improved analog-to-digital converter. For advanced users, the board has a JTAG connector enabling direct communication with FPGA.

MicroMod is an interface ecosystem that connects the main module to the processor or the microcontroller to various peripherals through expansion boards. Using the M.2 standard, MicroMod allows easy replacement of main modules.
