Description

The VCNL4200 sensor module combines the functions of distance detection and ambient light measurement. This makes it an ideal solution for many applications such as robotics, motion detection, and home automation. The sensor operates using infrared (IR) technology, enabling accurate distance measurement up to 1.5 meters, one of the longest ranges available for IR sensors, while maintaining ease of integration with popular platforms like Raspberry Pi, Arduino, or Feather via the I2C interface.

The VCNL4200 features a built-in ambient light sensor (ALS) that allows light intensity measurement in the range from 0.003 to 1570 lux.
