Description
The ExpressLRS receiver operating in the 2.4 GHz band uses an ESP32-PICO-D4 microcontroller and two SX1281 RF chips. Two antennas measuring 80 mm and 220 mm operate in a True Diversity configuration, providing two independent receiving paths. The design reduces the impact of antenna orientation and temporary interference on signal reception and is intended for FPV drones and other RC models using the ExpressLRS system.
Support for F1000Hz and F500Hz refresh rates enables the use of high-speed ExpressLRS transmission modes in applications requiring low latency. The temperature-compensated TCXO stabilizes the operating frequency under changing ambient temperatures. Two integrated PA + LNA paths provide signal amplification, while 100 mW (20 dBm) × 2 telemetry power enables data to be transmitted back from the model to the transmitter.
Communication with the flight controller uses the CRSF protocol. The SH1.0-4P connector and 2.54-4P solder pads provide connection options for the model electronics, while the antennas connect via IPEX1 connectors. An RGB LED indicates the current operating status of the receiver. Dimensions of 23 × 12.8 × 5 mm and a weight of 1.5 g allow the board to be installed in small and lightweight FPV builds.
