The BG95-M3 Zero development board with the Quectel BG95-M3 module enables the design of energy-efficient IoT devices operating in LTE Cat M1, NB2, and EGPRS networks. It supports multiple network protocols and GNSS positioning, offering developers and engineers an integrated development platform with support for QuecPython. Thanks to its compact design, compatibility with Raspberry Pi HATs, and battery power capability, it is ideally suited for mobile, measurement, and telemetry applications.
The BG95-M3 Zero development board is equipped with the Quectel BG95-M3 communication module supporting LPWA technologies: LTE Cat M1, LTE Cat NB2, and EGPRS. Compliant with the 3GPP Release 14 standard, it offers low power consumption and features a built-in MCP microcontroller and ARM Cortex-A7 processor supporting the ThreadX real-time operating system. It is designed for battery-powered operation and integration with IoT applications running in standby mode.
The board includes a USB Type-C connector for fast programming and testing, a 40-pin GPIO header compatible with Raspberry Pi HATs, support for multiple network protocols, and a GNSS system supporting GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BDS, and QZSS. An integrated 1.8 V Nano SIM slot located at the edge of the board ensures easy cellular network access. With compatibility for QPYcom, Thonny IDE, and VSCode plugins, the board enables rapid development of QuecPython-based applications.
