Development board with ATmega32u4 microcontroller (AVR), 20 I / O lines, 7 PWM channels, 16 MHz quartz, micro-USB.
Arduino Leonardo is a development board with ATmega32u4 microcontroller. There are 20 digital I / O available (7 of them can be used to generate PWM signals, 12 of them can work as analog inputs), quartz 16 MHz, micro USB socket, power socket, ICSP programming connector and reset button. The board contains everything you need to get started, just plug in the power adapter or USB cable and start playing!
The advantage of this board is that the ATmega32u4 microcontroller is equipped with a hardware USB interface, so it does not require an additional microcontroller or converter that realizes this functionality. This makes it extremely easy to create applications emulating a keyboard or mouse, in addition to being able to work in a USB interface in CDC mode, thanks to which Leonardo is visible in the computer as a virtual COM port.
