Discover the latest revision of Arduino Uno - the most popular development kit in the world. The Arduino Uno in its newest iteration impresses with a three-fold increase in clock speed, eight-fold larger flash capacity, and a sixteen-fold increase in SRAM capacity. But that's just the beginning, as Arduino Uno also offers a wide range of additional peripherals, powered by a 32-bit Renessas RA4M1 microcontroller with an ARM M4 core. With the new Arduino Uno, you don't have to worry about compatibility, as the board is compatible with all shields from previous revisions. Thanks to the elaborate security systems and compatibility with existing guides and projects, Arduino Uno becomes the ideal solution for both beginners and advanced electronics enthusiasts. Arduino ABX00080
With its new revision, Arduino Uno is entering the world of 32-bit microcontrollers. The Renesas RA4M1, which is the heart of this kit, is equipped with an ARM Cortex M4 core with a clock speed of 48 MHz, 256 kB of flash memory, 32 kB of SRAM memory, and 8 kB of EEPROM memory. It operates at a voltage of 5 V, making the R4 hardware compatible with UNO Shields available on the market. Like the R3, the refreshed UNO has 14 digital ports, of which 6 support PWM, 6 analog ports (ADC) with resolution increased to 14-bits, and support for SPI, I2C, and UART interfaces. A novelty is the 12-bit digital-analog converter (DAC) and support for the CAN interface. The power supply voltage range has been extended to 6 - 24 V, and the rarely encountered USB type A connector these days has been replaced with a modern and convenient USB type C.

Compatibility with existing projects - Arduino UNO enjoys strong community support, which means there are many tutorials, guides, and projects available to use. This community is also very helpful in problem-solving and advice giving. The new version of UNO is compatible with existing projects.
Increased clock speed and expanded memory - allow for more precise and complex calculations, making it easy to create much more advanced projects
14-bit Analog-Digital Converters (ADC) increase the measurement accuracy of analog ports 16 times compared to Rev3
12-bit Digital-Analog Converter (DAC) allows for precise generation of voltages in the range of 0 - 5 V without the need for external components. The converter's output is led to port A0. It can be used to control analog circuits or, combined with an amplifier, to generate sound.
CAN-BUS The RA4M1 microcontroller has built-in support for the CAN interface, which allows data to be transmitted over long distances at high speed and reliability. It is suitable for applications that require a critical reaction time. To use this interface, only an external transceiver is needed, eliminating the need for expensive converters.
The MINIMA version is equipped with an SWD port that allows connecting an external debugger like J-link EDU mini or J-link Base and debugging code directly from Arduino IDE 2.0. This allows for quick analysis with the possibility of stopping the code and viewing variable values in real time.
Durable and practical USB type C connector. It allows easy and convenient cable connection, does not require holding unusual cables just for programming Arduino.

HID support allows for the creation of custom keyboard, mouse, game controller, and control panel projects communicating with the computer via the USB interface. This feature gained huge popularity with Arduino Leonardo, and is now also available in UNO R4.
Arduino UNO Rev4 is 100% compatible with all shield expansion modules for UNO produced by Arduino. Due to the compatibility of logic voltages and pinout, modules from other manufacturers are also compatible with the new version, but before buying unofficial extensions, it is worth making sure that the libraries have been tested with the new revision of the board.
