Compact DC motor driver designed to control one high-power brushed DC motor. The module operates in a 6.5–40 V supply voltage range and can deliver up to 30 A of continuous current, making it suitable for demanding applications such as mobile robots, electric vehicles, automation systems, and industrial projects. The integrated current sensor enables direct measurement of motor current, simplifying system monitoring and implementation of safety mechanisms. Pololu 5692
The Pololu G2 24v30 CS is a high-current DC motor driver based on a discrete MOSFET H-bridge, enabling bidirectional control of a single brushed DC motor. The module belongs to the G2 (Generation 2) series of high-power motor drivers from Pololu and is designed for applications requiring high efficiency and high operating currents.
The driver operates within a supply voltage range of 6.5 V to 40 V, with an absolute maximum voltage of 40 V. In practical applications, it is recommended to keep the supply voltage below approximately 34 V to provide a safety margin for voltage spikes and ripple on the power line. Thanks to its efficient design, the module can deliver up to about 30 A of continuous current without an additional heatsink at room temperature.

The board features an integrated Hall-effect current sensor, which outputs a voltage proportional to the motor current on the CS pin. This allows a microcontroller to easily monitor the load and operating conditions of the motor. The driver also includes active current limiting, helping protect both the driver and the motor from excessive current.
Control is performed using PWM and DIR signals, making the module easy to interface with microcontrollers such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, STM32, and other control systems operating with 1.8–5 V logic levels. The driver supports PWM frequencies up to 100 kHz, enabling smooth and quiet motor speed control.
Additional protection features include reverse-voltage protection, undervoltage shutdown, and short-circuit protection, increasing the reliability of the module in demanding applications.
