Educational kit for learning programming and circuit building with BBC micro:bit. Includes an Edge Connector breakout board, breadboard, electronic components, motor, LEDs, buzzer, light sensor and jumper wires required to complete the exercises described in the included tutorial. The experiments progress from block-based programming in Microsoft MakeCode to coding in Python. Kitronik 5669
Programming and electronics learning kit for BBC micro:bit allows a series of exercises involving inputs and outputs, LED control, motor control, buzzer operation and sensor use. The included Edge Connector breakout board provides access to 21 available BBC micro:bit pins and makes it easier to connect them to the breadboard and other components in the kit. No soldering is required, so individual experiments can be assembled, modified and expanded quickly.
The tutorial guides users step by step through exercises completed in the Microsoft MakeCode environment. Experiments 1 to 6 use block-based programming, while experiments 7 to 10 introduce Python coding in the MakeCode editor. The exercises cover light measurement, LED brightness control with a potentiometer, transistor-based motor control, accelerometer-based motor speed control, sound generation, capacitor charging and RGB LED control. Assembly is required, and the kit does not include a BBC micro:bit.
