Description
Expansion module (outputs expander) dedicated to the micro:bit board. It is equipped with a number of connectors that provide useful interfaces in robotics, including the control of DC motors, modeling servos, IO outputs, analog inputs, Darlington outputs and a NeoPixel LED driver and an audio output for connecting speakers with a power of up to 3 W. The module is connected with the evaluation board via the edge connector and communicates via the I2C interface. Power is supplied to the circuit via the DC 5V connector. - 2 x bidirectional brush DC motor control, each with 1A current limit, with 8-bit PWM speed control
- 4 x high-current "Darlington" 500mA outputs (for solenoid valves, relays, large LEDs or stepper motor)
- 4 x capacitive touch sensors
- 8 x signal pins, digital inputs / outputs or analog inputs
- 1 x NeoPixel controller with 5V voltage level converter
- 1 x Class D speaker output, 4-8 ohms, 3 W audio amplifier
