An expansion board for the BBC micro:bit, allowing easy connection and control of low-power servos. It supports two servos by default, and up to three by disabling the built-in ZIP LEDs. Powered by three AAA batteries, it simultaneously supplies power to the micro:bit, while a power switch protects against unnecessary discharge. With five RGB ZIP LEDs and the ability to connect additional ones, the board allows for attractive lighting effects and is ideal for robotic projects like the :MOVE mini. Kitronik 5623
Kitronik Servo:Lite board is a practical expansion board designed for the BBC micro:bit, allowing easy connection and control of low-power servos. With simple assembly using five screws, the board can be quickly attached to the micro:bit to start controlling servo movements. In its standard configuration, it supports two servos, and when the ZIP LEDs are disabled, it can control up to three servos.

Power is supplied by three AAA batteries, which also provide power to the BBC micro:bit. The board includes a power switch to prevent unnecessary battery drain during downtime. Additionally, it features five RGB ZIP LEDs (NeoPixel compatible), enabling the creation of attractive lighting effects. If needed, additional external ZIP LEDs can also be connected.
Thanks to a wide range of educational resources, guides, and tutorials, users can easily learn how to program and control both servos and LEDs. Servo:Lite is an ideal solution for both beginners and advanced makers who want to enhance their robotic projects with motion and dynamic lighting. Its compact size makes it especially suitable for mobile applications such as :MOVE mini robots.

This Kit with fully-dedicated PWM driver chip handles all the motor and speed controls over I2C. Only two data pins (SDA & SCL in addition to the power pins GND & 5V) are required to drive the multiple motors; you can also connect any other I2C devices or shields to the same pins. This makes it drop-in compatible with any Arduino, such as the Uno, Due, Leonardo and Mega R3. Adafruit 1438
