Pololu 5343 is used to control a single bipolar stepper motor in applications requiring current regulation and microstepping support. The module is based on the A5984 IC from Allegro MicroSystems and operates with 5V or 3.3V logic via the STEP/DIR interface. Output current regulation is implemented using an onboard trimmer potentiometer, allowing the operating parameters to be matched to the motor characteristics.

The carrier-format PCB with soldered header pins simplifies integration with solderless breadboards or 16-pin sockets, enabling rapid prototyping and system testing. Motor power is supplied from an external voltage source within a range typical for stepper motor drivers. When operating under higher load conditions, adequate heat dissipation from the IC is recommended. Current-controlled version.
