The BIGTREETECH TMC5160T Pro V1.0 driver enables high-precision control of stepper motors with high current performance in systems powered up to 56 V. Supporting both SPI and SD modes, it features full integration of Trinamic functions and compatibility with popular BIGTREETECH boards, making it ideal for projects requiring silent operation and dynamic control—such as CoreXY 3D printers, CNC systems, or linear axes in automation.
The stepper motor driver based on the Trinamic TMC5160-TA chip with external MOSFETs is designed for applications requiring high torque and precise control. It supports motor supply voltages from 8 V to 56 V DC (recommended up to 48 V) and an RMS current of up to 3 A (peak up to 4.4 A). It allows operation in SPI and Standalone (SD) modes with a resolution of up to 256 microsteps. Integrated features such as StealthChop2, SpreadCycle, StallGuard2, and CoolStep reduce noise, optimize energy consumption, and enable step loss detection. A finned aluminum heatsink improves thermal dissipation. The driver is compatible with BIGTREETECH mainboards such as Octopus Pro, SKR V1.4 Turbo, SKR 3, and Manta M5P/M8P. Designed for use in 3D printers, CNC machines, and other mechatronic systems.
