Advanced expansion board for Arduino. It has support for mini-SIM cards and NB-IoT cards. Thanks to the GNSS module (Global Navigation Satellite System), it supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS and BeiDou GPS navigation systems. The module is powered by 7-12V voltage. DFRobot DFR0572
SIM7000E Arduino NB-IoT / LTE / GPRS / GPS Expansion Shield is an advanced expansion board with wireless communication modules designed for Arduino . It is based on the SIM7000E SIMCom system. The module supports multi-frequency LTE-FDD, GPRS / EDGE and NB-IoT communication. SIM7000E is widely used in the European frequency band.
The NB-IoT technology (Narrow Band-Internet of Things) is a new technical area of IoT and supports the connection to the cellular network of low power devices in the WAN network (Wide Area Network), also known as LPWAN. NB-IoT operates in an authorized frequency spectrum. It can be directly implemented in GSM, UMTS and LTE systems without any disruption to current networks.
The expansion board has a built-in GNSS module (Global Navigation Satellite System) that supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS and BeiDou GPS navigation systems. It has SIM card inputs (thanks to which it can be used for standard operations performed on the phone, like calling or sending an SMS), as well as for the NB-IoT card, which enables communication within the NB-IoT technology. In addition, the module has a BME280 environmental sensor that allows monitoring of temperature, humidity and pressure, eg in the framework of NB-IoT.
