GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) technology dominates modern wireless telephony, it is also the most widely used solution in M2M (Man-to-Machine or Machine-to-Machine) wireless communication systems and telemetry. This was due to fast price reduction by GSM manufacturers of modems and simpler service. The book presents basic information about the structure, parameters, methods of control and programming, as well as applications of popular GSM modules in our country (including Motorola G24, Ericsson / Wavecom GR47 and 48). It presents a few sample projects illustrating how to use GSM modules using popular microcontrollers. About the author

Jacek Bogusz is an experienced designer of electronic devices, a former employee of the Research and Development Center of Radio Broadcasting at the Radio Plant Diora in Dzierżoniów. Currently, he deals in the design of devices equipped with microcontrollers intended for industrial automation systems. Since 1997 he has been cooperating with the monthly Elektronika Praktyczna, in which he has led, among others, courses devoted to the programming of microcontrollers in C language and assembler. He also published many articles devoted to the design of modern electronics.
