ArduCAM PiNSIGHT is the latest AI camera module that seamlessly integrates with Raspberry Pi, transforming it into an intelligent vision hub. With backward compatibility with Pi 4B/3B+, it opens up unlimited possibilities, turning Raspberry Pi into a powerful tool for advanced AI applications. The heart of PiNSIGHT lies in its collaboration with the state-of-the-art OAK-SoM. With hardware encoding capabilities (H.264, H.265, MJPEG), this embedded system provides exceptional performance and faster video processing. Combined with the Arducam 12MP camera module, it optimizes power consumption, offering a powerful yet energy-efficient solution for intelligent vision applications.
The camera module features a resolution of 12.3 MP and the ability to record video in 4056×3040@30fps, 3840×2160@30fps, and 1920×1080@60fps modes. With support for RAW10, YUV, NV12, and RGB output formats, it offers great flexibility in applications. The camera has a sensor resolution of 4056 x 3040 pixels and an image area of 6.287 mm x 4.712 mm, which translates to high image quality. Equipped with autofocus, a lens with a focal length of 4.81 mm, and an aperture of F1.8, it provides a wide field of view (81° x 69° x 55°) and minimal distortion (<1%). Thanks to the infrared filter, the camera captures only visible light, increasing its versatility in various lighting conditions.
The 4K camera module in PiNSIGHT ensures image clarity, and with support for 4K/30FPS and 1080P/60FPS encoding, it delivers unmatched performance. This not only guarantees real-time precision but also allows for parallel processing of multiple video streams. PiNSIGHT equips Raspberry Pi with AI capabilities that redefine the boundaries of intelligent vision.
