Description
The IMX296 1.58MP camera module is an advanced camera featuring a Global Shutter sensor, which eliminates motion distortions typical of traditional Rolling Shutter sensors. This makes it ideal for projects requiring high image precision in dynamic scenes, such as machine vision, automation, and AI systems. Equipped with an M12 lens with a 45° field of view (HFOV) and manual focus, it allows precise image adjustment in low-light conditions or macro photography. The camera supports RAW10 format and can record video at 1440x1080 resolution at 60 frames per second, providing high detail and smooth footage. This module is fully compatible with Raspberry Pi—no additional drivers are required, and it works with the libcamera and Picamera2 libraries. Thanks to its compact design and included FPC cables (15–22 pin and 22–22 pin), it can be easily integrated with various Raspberry Pi models, including Pi 5, 4, 3, and Zero.
