Description
The Raspberry Pi Development Kit for the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 is a versatile kit designed specifically for prototyping advanced embedded solutions. The development kit is based on the Raspberry Pi CM5 module and offers all the necessary components that allow you to immediately start working on a variety of projects. It includes: the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 board with wireless WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, 4GB RAM and 32GB eMMC memory, IO Board, as well as a dedicated case and other accessories.

Features and components of the kit
- Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 Wireless: A module equipped with 4GB RAM and built-in 32GB eMMC memory. Thanks to the built-in wireless connectivity, this module offers advanced wireless communication capabilities, including support for WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0.
- IO Board Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5: An expansion board that allows you to fully use the module's functionality. It has GPIO connectors, USB Type-C for power supply and USB 3.0 for communication with external devices.
- Raspberry Pi IO Case: Specially designed housing that protects the module and other components from mechanical damage and ensures safe use.
- Passive cooling system: In order to ensure optimal operating conditions, the set includes passive cooling, which helps maintain a low temperature during intensive use.
- Antenna set: Dedicated antenna that provides better WiFi and Bluetooth signal quality.
- USB-C PD 27 W power supply: Provides adequate power for the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 and other components.
- HDMI to HDMI cables and USB-A to USB-C cable: Elements necessary to connect the set to an external display and other peripherals.
How to connect and run the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5?
- Connecting the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 is easy, even if you’re new to embedded electronics. Here’s how to do it step by step:
- Connecting the module to the IO Board: The Raspberry Pi Compute Module should be mounted in the appropriate connector on the IO Board. The IO Board has a dedicated GPIO connector that makes it easy to connect other system components, such as sensors or displays.
- Connecting the USB-C power supply: Use a 27W USB-C power supply to power the system. Once the power supply is connected, the LEDs on the board should light up, indicating that it’s ready to go.
- Connecting to a monitor: Using HDMI cables, connect the kit to a monitor. This will allow you to see the system in real time.
- Connecting to the internet: You can use the built-in WiFi module or connect an Ethernet cable to the IO Board to establish internet connectivity. Alternatively, connect via Bluetooth for wireless communication.
- System startup: Once all components are connected, the system will start automatically. The Raspberry Pi can be configured using a keyboard and mouse connected to the USB on the IO Board.
