Description
The ACS72981 current sensor module is a state-of-the-art solution based on the Hall effect, providing electrical isolation of the current path. This allows it to be placed anywhere in an electrical circuit while offering safe and precise measurements. The sensor features a noise-resistant design, eliminating the influence of uniform magnetic fields such as the Earth's field. With a low conduction path resistance (0.2 mΩ) and a multi-layer PCB (6 layers, 2 oz copper), energy losses are minimized.
The sensor provides a wide-band analog output (up to 250 kHz) proportional to AC or DC current, with a response time of less than 2 µs. A built-in digital temperature compensation mechanism enhances measurement accuracy across a wide temperature range.
Multiple mounting methods allow for easy integration into circuits – you can solder wires directly to the holes, use solderless ring terminals, or attach screw terminals. The largest holes accommodate wires up to 8 AWG and M3.5 screws, while additional 3.5 mm and 5 mm holes support screw connectors or header pins.
The module is ideal for applications requiring precise current measurement, such as energy management systems, battery monitoring, protection circuits, and industrial electronics. Its electrical isolation allows safe current monitoring in high-voltage systems, while its low power consumption makes it suitable for mobile and battery-powered devices.
