Description

Power monitor module that detects voltage up to 60 VDC and current up to 30 A. Uses the Allegro MicroSystems ACS37800 IC, which simplifies adding monitoring to power systems and is ideal for high current applications such as monitoring the power drawn by a 3D printer, battery power in UAVs, battery charging systems, or monitoring the power of photovoltaic panels. The sensor uses the Hall effect and Allegro current flow sensing technology. Enables current sensing without costly Rogowski coils, oversized current transformers, isolated op amps or power loss of shunt resistors.

The ACS37800 power monitoring IC offers key power measurement parameters that can be easily accessed via an I2C digital interface. Dedicated and configurable I/O pins are available for zero-crossing voltage/current, undervoltage and overvoltage reporting, and quick detection of overcurrent faults. IC user configuration is available via onboard EEPROM. The included Arduino library makes it easy to use the ACS37800.
