ToF distance sensor module based on the VL53L4CD chip. Interacts the SPAD matrix (Single Photon Avalanche Diodes) and FlightSense™ technology, which allows you to measure the absolute distance regardless of the color and surface of the detected object. Thanks to the application of the IR transmitter emitting light with a wavelength of 940 nm and a set of filters, it offers a range of up to 1.30 m with good immunity to interference from ambient light. The sensor has a detection angle of 18 ° and uses VCSEL (Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser) which means there is no blind zone and can detect objects very close to the sensor. The module communicates via the I2C interface, and the user has the Arduino and Python libraries at his disposal. It will be used in applications for detecting the presence of objects and obstacles in both industrial robots and mobile structures.
