ESP32-S3 3.97" 800×480 with e-Paper display, Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth 5 – development board with built-in RTC, IMU, temperature and humidity sensor, and AI voice interaction support (without battery). Waveshare ESP32-S3-ePaper-3.97-EN
ESP32-S3-ePaper-3.97 provides an integrated development platform designed for low-power IoT projects and portable devices. The ESP32-S3R8 chip with a dual-core Xtensa LX7 processor clocked up to 240 MHz supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and Bluetooth 5 LE, enabling wireless communication in network and mobile applications.
The board features a 3.97" e-Paper display with a resolution of 800 × 480 px. e-Ink technology ensures a wide viewing angle, high contrast, and a paper-like effect without backlight, while power is mainly consumed during image refresh, supporting low-power designs.

This product version does not include a 3.7 V lithium battery in the set. The board is equipped with an MX1.25 (2PIN) battery connector and a TG28 power management chip supporting charging and battery control after connecting an external 3.7 V Li-Ion battery. The RTC backup connector allows time settings to be retained when the main power source is disconnected.
The module integrates a microphone, ES8311 audio codec, NS4150B amplifier, 6-axis QMI8658 IMU, PCF85063 RTC, SHTC3 temperature and humidity sensor, and a TF (microSD) card slot. The platform supports ESP-IDF and Arduino IDE environments, enabling the implementation of information display projects, environmental monitoring systems, and applications with AI voice interaction support.
