GNSS module designed for Raspberry Pi Pico, based on the L76K chip, supporting GPS, BeiDou (BDS), GLONASS, and QZSS systems, with A-GNSS functionality, providing fast positioning, high accuracy, and low power consumption. Waveshare Pico-GPS-L76K
The Waveshare Pico-GPS-L76K is a compact GNSS module designed specifically for Raspberry Pi Pico, enabling the development of global positioning and navigation projects. The module supports simultaneous or independent positioning using GPS, BeiDou (BDS), GLONASS, and QZSS systems, improving positioning accuracy and reliability under various environmental conditions.
The integrated L76K chip (AT6558R platform) operates in the L1 band and provides fast Time To First Fix (TTFF), especially when using the A-GNSS function. The module features high receiver sensitivity and low power consumption, making it suitable for both mobile and stationary applications.
Onboard low-noise amplifier (LNA) and SAW filter enhance GNSS signal reception and reduce interference. Communication with the microcontroller is handled via a UART interface, while the standard Raspberry Pi Pico pin header allows direct connection without soldering.
The module includes an ML1220 battery holder used to preserve ephemeris data and enable fast hot starts. LED indicators provide visual information about power status, GNSS operation, and data transmission.
The Pico-GPS-L76K is suitable for applications such as GPS navigation, route logging, IoT projects, monitoring systems, tracking devices, as well as education and prototyping.
