Description

Prop-Maker FeatherWing is a fully assembled expansion module designed specifically for creators of props, cosplay accessories, toys, and projects requiring impressive light-and-sound effects. It enables you to unleash your creativity and build advanced visual and audio effects using simple, compact components. The board is equipped with a range of features that significantly simplify the creation of lightsabers, futuristic tools, or interactive costume elements. Its key feature is the ready-to-use NeoPixel port, allowing you to connect LED strips or individual diodes without soldering, using a high-quality signal from the built-in level shifter. The module also includes 3W RGB LED drivers, enabling you to power high-brightness LEDs and generate any color using PWM. Additionally, it features a built-in 3-axis LIS3DH accelerometer for detecting motion, impacts, and tilt—perfect for “swing” or “clash” effects. Another major component is the Class-D audio amplifier, supporting 8 Ω 1 W or 4 Ω 3 W speakers, allowing you to add realistic sound effects.

The electronic design enables operation in a low-power mode, making the module well-suited for portable builds. It also provides pins for external buttons and switches, increasing integration options in larger projects. Thanks to factory-soldered FeatherWing headers, the module can be connected to a compatible Feather board immediately, without any soldering. It works with a wide range of Feather boards, with full functionality available when paired with Feather M0 Express or Feather M4, which offer PWM and audio support. The module is fully tested, ready to use, and provides an advanced platform for creating lighting, sound, and motion effects in a compact format.
