Module with a pulse sensor (heart rate) based on the PAH8001EI-2G. The sensor is a high-performance and energy-saving CMOS optical system with a green LED and an integrated DSP that serves as a heartbeat detection (HRD) sensor. This module is based on optical technology and measures the variability of the movement of human blood in a vessel (e.g. finger or wrist). Low energy consumption and flexible energy saving mode make it suitable for designs of "wearable" devices. As the heart rate sensor system requires high data processing speed, the module uses the STM32F103 microcontroller, which can be reprogrammed by the user through the derived SWD interface. The board is equipped with a Grove connector, so it can be used with the Base Shield V2 and Arduino extension. The module communicates via the I2C interface and is supplied with the voltage of 3.3 V or 5 V. Full documentation of the module with examples of use is available on the product page.
