Description

Industrial cellular router designed to provide global LTE, Ethernet and WiFi connectivity in IoT systems, automation, telemetry and distributed network installations. Teltonika RUT981 uses a Telit 4G LTE Cat 4 modem and supports data transmission with download speeds up to 150 Mbps and upload speeds up to 50 Mbps, as well as 3G and 2G networks. Two Mini SIM slots and eSIM support enable the use of multiple operator profiles and automatic connection switching in cases such as weak signal, roaming, network loss or data connection failure. The router provides WiFi 4 802.11b/g/n 2x2 MIMO, one WAN port and three 10/100 Mbps LAN ports, while WAN Failover and load balancing help maintain communication continuity in installations requiring constant network access.

RutOS based on OpenWrt provides advanced routing, firewall, VLAN, VPN and support for Modbus TCP, DNP3, DLMS/COSEM, OPC UA, BACnet/IP and MQTT. The digital input and open collector output enable response to signals from external devices and control of installation components, while Teltonika RMS supports remote router configuration and monitoring. 9-30 VDC power supply and passive PoE on the LAN1 port, combined with the aluminium enclosure and operating temperature range from -40°C to 65°C, support use in industrial automation, energy systems, retail, M2M systems and distributed installations requiring global cellular connectivity.
