Description

Industrial Ethernet router designed for integrating RS485 devices with Ethernet and WiFi networks and isolating industrial automation infrastructure. Teltonika RUT145 features an RS485 interface supporting 2-wire and 4-wire connections and a multi-drop bus, enabling communication with multiple industrial devices. The router provides two 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports – one WAN and one LAN – as well as WiFi 4 802.11b/g/n operating in Access Point or Station mode with support for up to 50 simultaneous clients. Wireless features include WPA3, 802.11s mesh, 802.11r fast roaming, as well as 802.11k and 802.11v mechanisms. Power can be supplied through an industrial 3-pin 9-30 VDC connector or via 9-30 VDC passive PoE on the LAN port, which is not compliant with IEEE 802.3af/at/bt standards.

The OpenWrt-based RutOS operating system provides routing, firewall, VLAN, VPN and load balancing functions, as well as support for Modbus TCP and RTU over RS485, DNP3, DLMS/COSEM, BACnet, OPC UA and MQTT. The Data to Server function allows data to be collected from devices and transmitted to a server using HTTP(S), MQTT or Azure MQTT, while RS485 can also operate in Serial over IP, Console and Modem modes. Teltonika RMS enables remote configuration, diagnostics and router management. The aluminium housing, operating temperature range from -40°C to 75°C and integrated DIN rail mounting bracket facilitate deployment of the RUT145 in industrial automation, manufacturing systems, telemetry installations, measurement systems and networks using RS485 devices.
