I/O port expander 16-channel module controlled by the I2C interface. It was based on the Microchip MCP23017 system and is designed for Raspberry Pi minicomputers. Each IO pin can be configured as input or output. The maximum output current should not exceed 20 mA, and the pins are compatible with voltages of 3.3 V and 5 V. The module has 3 address jumpers that allow you to select 8 different addresses, so you can connect up to 8 modules to one I2C interface. It is powered with the voltage of 5 V and connects to the minicomputer via a 40-pin GPIO connector. Full documentation with examples is available on the product page.
