Description

NVIDIA development kit with NVIDIA Carmel ARMv8.2 CPU and NVIDIA Volta graphics consisting of 384 CUDA cores and 48 Tensor cores. The system is supported by LPDDR4 RAM memory with a capacity of 8 GB, eMMC memory 16 GB, Ethernet interface, DisplayPort, HDMI and MIPI-CSI camera connectors. The user has at his disposal a 40-pin GPIO connector with color markings and M.2 Key E and M.2 Key M connectors, to which WiFi network cards and an SSD drive are connected (both modules are included in the set). A dedicated fan is responsible for proper heat dissipation.

The suite offers accelerated computing performance of up to 21 TOPS, allowing it to run modern neural networks in parallel and process data from multiple high-resolution sensors. 384 NVIDIA CUDA cores, 48 Tensor cores, 6 Carmel ARM CPU cores, and two NVDLA (NVIDIA deep learning accelerator) engines, combined with over 51GB/s memory bandwidth, video encoding and decoding, make Jetson Xavier NX the platform of choice for embedded and edge systems.

Jetson Xavier NX supports multiple power modes, including low power modes for battery-powered systems. However, this does not significantly reduce performance, so it can still be used to support sensors and peripherals, while still allowing the use of the entire NVIDIA software stack. The set includes a power supply (required supply voltage from 9 to 20 V), which allows you to power the module at maximum computing load. In default mode, the device consumes 10 W, in boost mode 15 W.

Jetson Xavier NX is the perfect solution for high-performance AI systems such as commercial robots, medical devices, smart cameras, high-resolution sensors, automated optical inspection systems, and other AIoT embedded systems.

Compared to the original NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX Development Kit, Waveshare introduces several improvements and changes:

  • The set is available in a version with 8 GB or 16 GB of RAM
