Description
Optical rain sensor module based on a system that allows detection of precipitation condition on glass. It offers a quick way to detect changes in precipitation in real time, and the built-in optical algorithm can intelligently filter out environmental factors such as sunlight, dust and pollution.
By combining rainfall, ambient temperature and indoor temperature information, this sensor helps users build intelligent and comprehensive rainfall detection applications. The module can be configured via the UART interface and returns rain intensity information via this bus. Its very small size (diameter of about 12.5 mm) and low-power modes allow the sensor to be used in small device designs. It will find use as a sensor in monitoring, smart home, agricultural or automotive components.
