The LILYGO TTGO T-Echo 868 MHz BME280 Black Meshtastic Firmware device is designed for projects requiring low-power LoRa communication and decentralized mesh networking. The hardware integrates an nRF52840 microcontroller, an SX1262 LoRa transceiver operating in the 868 MHz band, a 1.54" monochrome E-Paper display with a resolution of 200 × 200 pixels, an L76K GNSS positioning module, and a BME280 sensor for temperature, atmospheric pressure, and humidity measurements. Factory-installed Meshtastic firmware allows immediate use of the open-source LoRa communication platform without additional firmware configuration.

The SX1262 transceiver provides long-range, low-power LoRa communication in the 868 MHz band, enabling the creation of autonomous mesh nodes and direct device-to-device communication without relying on existing network infrastructure. The device also supports Bluetooth 5, Thread, Bluetooth Mesh, Zigbee, ANT, and IEEE 802.15.4. Additional features include an L76K GNSS receiver supporting GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and QZSS, a low-power E-Paper display, an 850 mAh rechargeable battery with USB Type-C charging, two hardware buttons, and a capacitive touch button.
The manufacturer provides Meshtastic project documentation, a T-Echo hardware button guide, the InkHUD project for E-Paper-based devices.

After power-up, the device is operated using two hardware buttons located on the enclosure. Button 1 performs a device reset, while pressing it twice enters DFU (Device Firmware Update) mode for firmware updates or programming. Button 2 controls functions available within the Meshtastic firmware, allowing operation without using the mobile application.
Successive presses of Button 2 switch between display pages, send temporary node information, enable or disable the GNSS receiver, and control the display backlight. Pressing and holding the button powers the device off. Three status LEDs indicate USB power, battery status, and Bluetooth Low Energy activity, making it easy to monitor the operating state of the device.
The pinout diagram below simplifies integration of the device into custom hardware projects.
