Description

Pololu DC motor equipped with a 380:1 metal gear ratio. The motor of the set is designed for 12 V supply and generates a torque of 5 kg*cm. The current consumed by the loaded motor is about 60 mA, while the maximum current consumed under load is 750 mA. The motor has an extended shaft on the opposite side of the motor, which makes it easy to install an encoder or other shaft position sensor. In this set, the manufacturer used the HPCB series engine, which means that it is equipped with carbon brushes. It is much more durable than brushes made of metal plates used so far. The gearbox has a D-shaped output shaft with a diameter of 3 mm, which simplifies the installation of the further part of the drive system.
