The SpaceSOM series (System-on-Module) modules from SoMLabs are based on NXP i.MX8M plus processors with 4 Cortex-A53 cores (up to 1.6 GHz) and one Cortex-M7 core (up to 800 MHz), as well as an advanced neural processing unit (NPU, up to 2.3 TOPS), a 3D graphics processing unit (Vivante GC7000UL GPU) compatible with Open GL 3.1 ES and a VPU (encoder/decoder) HD1080p60 H.264, HD1080p60 H.265. They also have on-board 1GB RAM and 8GB eMMC memory. The modules are available in a number of configurations and can also be customised.
The powerful processor provides full flexibility to support real-time applications while supporting Linux, Android and advanced HMIs. SpaceSOM-8Mplus is a highly integrated general-purpose SoM (System on Module), optimised for machine learning, artificial intelligence and neural networks.
